Corona News

Corona’s first newspaper,The Corona Courier and its successors was the city’s oldest continuing business up until 1993. The South Riverside Bee was the city’s first weekly newspaper 1887 -1896, while the city was named South Riverside. The successor newspaper the Corona Independent,began publishing in 1905 and  became the Corona Daily Independent in 1913, and the Corona-Norco Daily Independent from 1972 to 1990 The Corona-Norco Independent was purchased by the Press-Enterprise in 1990 and the paper becomes a weekly publication. The last paper was printed on December 20, 2005. After this date news had to come from the Press-Enterprise published in Riverside.  Nowadays, current local news and commentary is more available from the City’s Inner Circle electronic newsletter  and social media sites: Facebook pages: (CHPS, C4C etc.)
